After he kills Romulus, frees Claudio, and escapes using Leonardo da Vinci's Flying Machine. He seeks help from Niccolò Machiavelli and the Thieves' Guild of Rome they ask him to free Claudio, a member of the Thieves' Guild, from the Followers of Romulus. After Cesare Borgia attacks his residence and steals the Apple of Eden, Ezio Auditore da Firenze sets out to kill him and end the Templars' menace in Italy.
